champs contre champs

360 degree video device, 2'10 '', 2019

Champs contre champs is a 360-degree video installed in the public space in a specific terminal near the future Pont-de-Sèvres station in Grand Paris. The spectator is placed in the center of the garden of the station whose architecture is invested by archives of moving images which confront the perception of the two banks of the Seine and their social representations. The work is presented as a video and sound collage that redraws the space through documents from various sources which all come from this geographical area. The title of the work refers to the shot-reverse shot, a cinematographic technique that involves associating two opposing points of view on the same scene in the editing of a film.  and invites to reflect, from a sociological point of view, on the antagonisms which cross the various fields of the social world.

This work is the winner of the Numériscope project set up by the Centquatre within the artistic and cultural direction of the Grand Paris Express.
